Google Blogger For Dummies (For Dummies (Computer/Tech))
Search engine optimization is the process of generating traffic through search engines. 80% -90% of visitors come from search engines so It become a necessity for websites. High Rankings mean more visitors. The same concept also applies to blogs. However, many owners of blogs are not aware of their potential to be more visible on the web. "I just updated from time to time and that's all". Given the large number of blogs online today, from personal blogs to corporate, all your efforts will only lose, if you do not do blog optimization.

Can blogs be optimized, too? of course. Should be done for the benefit of its readers and search engines. Although the process is very similar to the standard search engine optimization, it's a bit different. Here are some tips you can do to get started:

Consider the design

It is not advisable to use the default template provided by sites of blog publishing. Do not want to bump into a girl at a party wearing the same dress, right? The same goes for blogs. You can hire a designer to do the work for you. If you run a tight budget, you can always find free templates that companies offer web design and can be customized a bit to make it unique.

Optimize tag

Use the most important sentence of your blog in the code hard tag "title". Furthermore, it must verify that the title of each post appears on the label of tiles. This is sometimes overlooked.

Keywords

You should always use the keywords in a blog post titles and categories. You can also use many other categories of an item, if applicable.

RSS Feed

The best thing is that you have the RSS subscription button available on your blog. That would be more convenient for your readers, because it publish your work recently updated. If your blog RSS editor is not automatically available, there are many RSS feed button creation tool out there on the internet. But make sure that it placed where readers can easily see. You can put in sidebar. It is the prerogative of the owner of the blog, if he/she wants full or partial feeds.

Using e-mail

Because there are some people are not familiar with RSS feeds, go the extra mile to offer something else with the same advantages. You can have your blog posts via e-mail. There also Free tools are available online to do this.

Convincing Introduction

Introduction to the blog post is sent via RSS. Make sure it is quite interesting that readers want more so they would click on "More" button and read the full article. Therefore, it should be interesting.

Check CSS

It's common for blogs have a tremendous amount of CSS or Cascading Style Sheets. The solution is to put in an external CSS file for less clutter in the main template so the main entry not go down.

Keywords-rich anchor text

The placement of links on other sites / blogs, and even for internal links, make sure you are using keyword rich anchor text. Remember that it is best to use the keywords than "click here" or "more". Would benefit when search engines crawl your blog.

Keep Your Posts Bonded

If your blog post is somehow linked to previous post, linked each other. The idea is that if the reader is interested in this particular post, then he or she can probably entertain a different story with the same subject. You can use Related Posts Plugin for that.

Do the same thing on other blogs. If you see a blog post or an article on the same subject, to make them aware of their existence by including a link to go to the posts.

Buy/Purchase a domain

We all know that the company of blog hosting "will" only be around for such a time. If they close their business, they close your blog too. If this happens, where will your faithful followers to find you? Either if there is change in the domain of your blog host, it will definitely affect your rankings.

If you have limited resources and must be installed for free hosting companies, look for ones that offer to display our own domain, rather than showing theirs as Wordpress and Blogger.

Appropriate/Proper URL Naming Convention

It is always a bad idea to use dynamic URLs on websites or blogs. You should always take every opportunity you have to use keywords, without keywords stuffing, including this one. I mean, instead of using "www.xyzblog.com/?246" may be considered "www.xyzblog.com/blog-post-keywords-here". in this case, When you can not do anything with it, use mod rewrite.

Good navigation

If your blog is only part of a website, it is not enough that have a link to go to the home page of your blog. Use the sidebar to syndicate to your new posts, website visitors might be interested in your articles if they see or read the titles.

Fast Page Load

The amount of time required for loading a page, all depends on your host. There are some blogs that takes about half a minute from the snippet of the RSS feed for the full article. You can lose a lot of readers just for that cause alone.

Moderate comments and trackbacks

Spammers are everywhere. Always find a way to abuse your blog for non-sense comments with links to the corresponding website. It is annoying and can also influence your rankings. There are many tools available on the net that can be used to moderate and prevent spam comments and trackbak.

Do not just create a blog to share information or demonstrate that you know much about something. Do not settle for the number of followers of your blog is. Start optimizing now and see the great changes in the coming months.
